Homeschool Mini Grant Application

Thank you for investing in your children through home education. We are excited to come alongside your family to encourage you and assist with your homeschooling costs.

Homeschool Support Mini Grant are for:

Curriculum
School materials
Homeschool courses, classes, and co-ops
School-related technology
Diagnostic testing and therapies for children with special learning needs

Grant Amount

Grants will be awarded based on the family's request, the identified needs and the eligible grant funds. Most grants will be $50-$250 per family.

Eligibility

To qualify to apply, you must:

  • have completed at least one semester of homeschooling immediately prior to applying
  • be homeschooling at least one child between 5 and 18 years old,
    have legal custody of the child(ren) you are homeschooling
  • be able to show financial need
  • be able to provide character references

We recognize that some information requested may be sensitive. All of the information you provide to us is confidential and will never be sold or shared outside of Homeschool Homies.

Reporting

Families that are awarded the Homeschool Homies mini grant will be required to send a short report stating how funds were spent, how it impacted your family and any additional information that families would like to share with us. We do require that 1-2 photos are submitted in reporting as well. This could be photos of using purchased curriculum, partaking in a class paid for by the mini grant or sharing a homeschool project with us! We DO NOT require faces to be shown in the pictures. These reports will be shared with VELA Education Foundation.
