Rinconada Canyon Trail

Rinconada Canyon Trail is a great trail for littles! It is mostly flat and the majority of the trail is sandy! There is no shade on the trail so make sure you bring sun protection. On your way out of the parking lot, the trail takes you right up next to the canyon/mesa and this is where you will be able to see a plethora of petroglyphs. Once you reach the turn around in the trail, you will be coming back through the middle of the canyon. During this part of the hike you will see no petroglyphs but plenty of desert life. You can make this an out and back trail if you would only like to see the petroglyphs and turn around once the trail starts to curve back towards the parking lot. Bring some binoculars some of the higher petroglyphs are a little hard to see.
