Nature Ninos New Mexico will be hiring staff for our summer camp and assisting in the hire of our partners YCC Crew. We have multiple positions available.

Crew Leader

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide leadership and guidance to all campers and camp youth staff through a variety of games, crafts, outdoor recreation activities, and guest speaker sessions. Maintain safe, fun, and supportive environments for campers. This is an independent contractor position for May 30, 2022 - August 10, 2022.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Experience working with children

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Motivated to encourage children of all abilities with their educational and recreational interactions within nature

  • Passionate about conservation, nature, and wildlife

HOURS & COMPENSATION

This is an Independent Contractor position. The Crew Leader position is 35 hrs per week for 10 weeks of camp starting with our training week May 30th - June 2nd. Camp starts June 6th and runs through August 5th. Pay compensation is $18- $20 based on experience.

Assistant Crew Leader

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide leadership and guidance to all campers through a variety of games, crafts, outdoor recreation activities, and guest speaker sessions. Maintain safe, fun, and supportive environments for campers. This is an independent contractor position for May 30, 2022 - August 10, 2022.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 17 years of age

  • Experience working with children

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills

  • Great time management skills

  • Motivated to encourage children and their educational and recreational interactions with nature

  • Passionate about conservation, nature, and wildlife

HOURS & COMPENSATION

This is an Independent Contractor position. The Crew Assistant position is 35 hrs per week for 10 weeks of camp starting with our training week May 30th- June 2nd. Camp starts June 6th and runs through August 5th. Pay compensation is $16- $18 based on experience.

Youth Counselor

  • Experience working with children

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good time management skills

  • Motivated to encourage children and their educational and recreational interactions with nature

  • Passionate about conservation, nature, and wildlife

HOURS & COMPENSATION

This is an Independent Contractor position. The Youth Counselor position is 35 hrs per week for 10 weeks of camp starting with our training week May 30th- June 2nd. Camp starts June 6th and runs through August 5th. Pay compensation is $14- $16 based on experience.
