Welcome Sky Carlisle to the Team!

We're excited to officially welcome Sky Carlisle as our new Associate Director of Operations & Programming at Nature Niños!

Sky brings more than 20 years of leadership experience serving nonprofits, schools, healthcare systems, and community organizations throughout New Mexico. A lifelong New Mexican, community builder, and father of five, he has dedicated his career to helping organizations build strong partnerships, create sustainable systems, and expand programs that make a lasting difference.

His passion for experiential education began at the University of New Mexico, where he helped develop outdoor leadership and youth mentoring programs through ropes courses, college outreach, and hands-on leadership experiences. Since then, he's continued to bring people together through strategic planning, communications, organizational development, and a deep commitment to community.

In his new role, Sky will work alongside our incredible team to strengthen operations, support our educators, grow community partnerships, and help Nature Niños continue expanding opportunities for youth and families across New Mexico.

At Nature Niños, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover they belong outdoors. Sky shares that vision wholeheartedly. He believes some of life's greatest lessons happen outside—through curiosity, adventure, stewardship, and meaningful connections with nature and each other.

When he's not working, you'll likely find Sky exploring New Mexico with his wife and five children, hiking a trail, casting a fishing line, playing guitar, or introducing the next generation to the wonder waiting just beyond the trailhead.
