Great Turnout at Trees Lake, Deming Event

03/15/2022

On March 5th, the New Mexico Wildlife Federation and Nature Niños hosted an event in Deming. This event was held at Trees Lake, a city conservation plan to build a recreation area on a former landfill. Despite some wind, it was a beautiful and a fun day for all the families! Fishing poles, backpacks of swag items, and other free giveaways were handed out to over 200 families, with over 300 people in attendance. This event featured fishing, basic archery and 3D archery lessons, an off-the-grill lunch, and a special appearance from Smokey Bear!
