Tiny Trees Art & Stories
Join our tiniest of Nature Niños as we explore nature at Shady Lakes in the North Valley of Albuquerque.

What is Tiny Trees?
- Classes are held Thursday AM, Thursday PM or Friday PM
- Ages 4-8 years old
- There will be a parent meeting the week before classes start to introduce your family to our space and our amazing educators.
- Classes cost $50-$200 per semester (fee details located on the registration form)
- Classes need a minimum of 10 students for the class to occur.
Our schedules will be as follows during each Tiny Trees session:
- Activity & Story Time
- Nature Exploration Topic
- Art Exploration
- Group Game/Free Exploration
- Depart Location
This programming is designated for youth ages 4-8. Students will explore nature in a 100% outdoors program. Lessons will focus on plant & wildlife identification, experiences in fishing & archery, learning about the planet, and having hands-on experiences to a variety of other topics presented by Nature Ninos staff and a community of knowledgeable partners. Our programming also focuses on the benefits nature can have emotionally and mentally by nature journaling. Children will have a bountiful of free time to explore nature at their own place, find topics that interest them, climb trees, count leaves and get dirty!!
Once registered you'll receive a confirmation email that your registration was processed. As the class start date gets closer you'll receive details, via email, about drop off/pick up times and confirmed locations.
Tiny Trees classes are on Thursdays or Fridays.
There are three class options for Fall 2022. Students are eligible for placement in only one session.
Classes need a minimum of 10 students for the class to occur.
AM Session : 9:30AM - 12:00PM
PM Session : 1:00PM - 3:30PM
PM Session: 1:00PM - 3:30PM
All Nature Niños classes are based out of Shady Lakes in the North Valley of Albuquerque, however, classes will have additional locations throughout the semester including:

Alameda Open Space: 9521 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114
Agri Nature Center: 4920 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Los Ranchos, NM 87107
Local hiking trails during our group hiking day.
Parents are responsible for transportation to and from all events.
Parents are REQUIRED to stay for hikes and site visits that are out of the Albuquerque area (even for drop off classes). There will be no more than four parent required classes in a semester.
